94/365 / Our trip to Botanical Garden

ohh yess!! we go out almost everyday for our evening tea, we have that luxury and I want to enjoy that , click as much as I Can....while it lasts :) though there were many many more visual treats that i wish i was professional enough to capture, still i know that I have captured them all perfectly in  my memories forever!!

and about Vihaan, well he is getting to see new things everyday, he gets to touch and feel so many textures so many things, bright vibrant colors, soft tingling grass blades under tiny feet, I let him run bare feet on the green grass!! 

and watching him  all happy, so expressive, is a true soul treat for me !!

Around here

Day has just begun, prayer lamp is already lit...a street hawker is out, he has to spend entire day out, shouting out loud for old books/cardboard boxes, scraps, and in return he will get nothing but the amount  that will buy him just a handful of rice or flour...it's a long day ahead for him.  

I am sitting in the dappled sun, air around is heavy with scents of chillies, cloves, turmeric, and aroma of kahwa served in ceramic cups. Nearby Vihaan jumps with glee on spotting a tiny Adonis blue, beautiful wings fluttering in air, sliver spotted skipper and blue admiral are also seen close by, Vihaan smiles charmingly.  

In the garden, the Myrtle, heather, spurge, lily and daisy families are budding, blooming, and buzzing with life and Asian carpenter bee and blue bottle, nearby the silent spectator, the plumaged bee eater is waiting for the right moment to attack the bee, suddenly I get distracted by the faint cries of a lonely Alpine Chough perched on the mango tree, it's faint cries cast a spell on me.  

Tiny leaves are emerging from the axils of the mango tree, in the autumn the leaves had left the branches with the petiole.

I hear the melodies of the parrots, pigeons, barbets, hoopes, passerines and chickadees...Vihaan is holding a navel orange, crushing it with his bare hands, tangy juice on his hands and clothes  and aroma around him....it has a mouth watering effect on my gustatory sense. I pick a fresh clementine and neatly peel it, and savour it, a small bit is savoured by Vihaan as well...he closes his eyes and twitches his face...he knows all the spells and charms.  

Terrace is covered with the Bird's eye chillies, spread out meticulously for sun drying,  we add a lot of these for instilling flavour to our savoury dishes, the smaller the fruit, the hotter it is, I believe so or may be it is the shrad of my imagination.

At dusk beforing retreating indoors, I see heavenwards and see clouds, Cumulonimbus and altocumulus,  I name them, I know they presage rain.

Late at night, me and Vihaan, we snuggle up in the Applique quilt...while Vihaan is fast asleep I hear rolling thunder and I know what is coming riding the chariot.  I close my eyes, place my left ear close to Vihaan's chest and his beating lulls me, my lids get heavy and I see the blue Admiral,  the hoppoe,  I sense the aroma of the clementines once again and I doze off....

Around here, I am capturing the beauty through my lens before the flowers wilt away, saving the last glimpse of the wonderful nature and keeping it safe in my memories, here in my blog, a beautiful reminder of our anniversary day!!

Around here, I am thinking how time is flying by...how Vihaan has grown from a tiny sampling into a blooming flower...with his first birthday just around the corner..how quickly has he grown in a couple of months...how charming he has become...

Around here, I am learning the art of cooking, and cooking with all my heart, pouring out my love for my family, serving the wonderful delights and cherishing the simple moments!!

Around here, I am learning to keep calm, let go of certain things that are beyond our control, trying to stop being a control freak all the time, trying to let things be scattered on the floor, trying to let the room be messy for a while, trying to stop and sit down for a while, rest for a while if I don't feel like doing the chores at that very moment, trying not to be hard on myself for not being able to manage everything perfectly :)

Around here, I am hoping to keep blogging everyday, sharing my thoughts about my life, about life in general, about things around while I am away, away to people that love us dearly, that are waiting to hold and love Vihaan!!

Around here, I am writing this post with the wind chime melody in the background, with the caressing breeze gently blowing my hair in the air,  with a very strange but soothing wave of comfort filling my heart!!

Little time for myself :)

After so many days, I sneaked a little time for myself, I picked up my camera and clicked few pictures....

Vihaan, (yes we have finally agreed on this name after a lot of brainstorming) was with his grandmother so I took full advantage of the opportunity....I also made sauted cabbage for dinner.., felt good and myself again after such a long time..,,,

A glimpse of my garden

I love to see how a tiny sapling blooms into a flower and i love to see greenery and colors around.  I have a small garden and I try to add more plants every months, I started off with 2 and today i have close to 20 now...Wow.

i painted the flower planters with yellow color, and wrote the name of the flower on them!!!
