Our day today - From :( to :)

We had been thinking of buying a new couch for our living room from quiet sometime and finally after going through a lot of mental work...and checking almost every third online furniture website, we ordered a couch through Snapdeal 2 weeks ago and were expecting the delivery today and guess what instead of couch, those guys dropped us a spoiler mail stating that the product can't be delivered , it's out of stock...blah blah!... that was it...we were disappointed, sad and angry...I mean who does that?? the annoying part was that it is still showing in their website as "in stock" so that tells us that their service is just bad...bad...bad...!!!

so what to do next...then we finally purchased another couch from Pepperfry...it's beautiful, much more gracious than the snapdeal one :) it will be delivered by next weekend...  

 This is sad part of story :(

now coming to the other part-

I was totally irked with the clothes designs for the young boys in the market...I mean we have so many options, designs for girls out there in terms of clothing but when it comes to boys...just those Ho-hum shirts, tees, pants and all...nothing new...come-on...don't boys have a right to dress up differently..can't we have something unique , more in the clothing for them :(

That was it!!  I thought of buying the cut fabric and getting something stitched for vihaan...something other than the "flat as a pancake" type of design... after a  lot of internet search I chose an online store Itokri...they have a wide range of cut fabric collection...

I ordered a hand screen printed cotton fabric...and insisted that they deliver it to me as soon as possible so that i can get two shirts stitched....one for Akash and one for Vihaan...{By the way I intend to do a photo shoot...Two guys will look dashing in the similar fabric!!} and to my surprise it was delivered today, in the evening, much sooner than expected date...inside the package was a beautiful note for me from the Itokri team...and a surprise gift as well...it was not the gift or the note that cheered me up but the gesture that seemed to be genuine and really sweet!! that's the real customer service, the wow factor!! 

This is happy part of the story :)

I am thankful to God...for ending my day with thought that good still exists...that there is still goodness around...that god cares for us and is watching over us all the time.

I will be doing a photo shoot of my handsome duo once the shirts get stitched!! eagerly waiting...

We had been to the Kala Ghoda fest yesterday, it's a fest showcasing the art work from around the different states, a true delight for the art lovers.

Stretching from the Regal Circle Southern end of Mahatma Gandhi Road, to northern end of the Mumbai University, to the west by the Oval Maidan  and on the east to the Lion Gate.

 It is an attraction for people not just from all over the country but from the world as well.

We chose a weekday as on weekends the foot fall is too high, and it would have been difficult with Vihaan to manage in the crowd.

Vihaan was a true celebrity there, Photographers with their high-end cameras (way better than mine :( ) were clicking Vihaan, he seemed to enjoy all the attention, while I and Akash were sitting aside beaming with happiness and proud. 

He was a true heartthrob  with so many pretty girls doting on him.

Next year I will attend the fest with my own High-End camera ;), that's what Akash has promised me!!

H for Hamleys :o)

It was wonderful Sunday for all three of us, we had been to the Hamleys, one of the best toy shops in the world, well I haven't seen the world yet but this much I can vouch for, everything is so great about this store, the toys, the look and feel and of course the wonderful cadre as well...Vihaan was so happy to be there, which obviously you can make out from the pictures below...he was tugging at everything that was in his reach and yes lunging for things beyond his reach ,my big-eyed boy 8-D

We also met this really demiurgic guy, "samson" there, he made a boy and a girl out of the alphabets "boy" & "girl" & dancing girls just like that with the stroke of this hands... he also gifted Vihaan his name written beautifully with  3D effect :)...Thank you Samson :)

 For Vihaan We got a rolling hamster, a moving & shaking cute little Alien that repeats everything you say and we got a fun creative stationery kit for mommy as well :D  see Hamleys has stuff for mommy too!! we were trying to get some G.I Joes for daddy ooops.. for Vihaan  , but they were not available...daddy is very fond of them and had  entire collection in his juniority, he was intending to buy them for Vihaan however they are no more manufactured now, not here in India :(

Vihaan's Fav's

It has been 4 months in Mumbai now and we have made few friends here, Thanks to kids ...it's only because of kids that we adults get to interact with each other in our society park.

Vihaan has few favourites as well, it's Bavithra, whom we call Bavi and her two adorable kids, boys...Elder one is Adithya, very loving and greets everyone in the park, makes it a point to say hello and bye to everyone, it Was Aditya who came to me for the first time in park and made friends with Vihaan. I couldn't click his picture as he was busy with his own stuff, playing and greeting people, I will click and post one soon. The younger one is Badri, very naughty and sweet and always up to something.

Vihaan likes it when Aunty Bavi is around and happily hops into her lap, he likes to play with her house keys...little red wooden beads!!
